About us:
Discovery Kids has been operating in Squamish for nearly 14 years. Our centre has an infant/toddler room with space for 12 children, and a 3-5 room with space for 25 children.
Our curriculum is based on emergent curriculum, inspired by Reggio Emilia and the BC Early Learning Framework.
As a workplace, we strive to foster an environment of mutual respect and care for one another and for the families in our care.
We are looking for full time educators and support staff, as well as part-time and casual staff.
Duties include supervision of children, leading circle time, organizing activities, and curriculum planning. Light housekeeping duties are shared amongst staff members.
Requirements:
Valid BC ECE or ECA certification
Valid child first aid
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with young children
Strong work ethic
Excellent communication skills
Commitment to ongoing professional development
